michael_j_mcgivney300What is the Knights of Columbus?

The Knights of Columbus is the world’s largest Catholic family fraternal service organization with over 1.8 million members in nearly 15,000 councils.  It provides members and their families with volunteer opportunities in service to the Catholic Church, their communities, families and young people.  The Knights of Columbus is a powerful force for the Catholic faith.

At the Knights of Columbus, Msgr. Timothy Doyle Council  13111, you will find Catholic men from all walks of life who have a common bond – they are all passionate about helping others and giving to our community without any expectation of receiving anything in return.  The diversity of this group of men is highlighted by its unification in the Catholic faith.  To see some examples of the ways in which this council helps our community, please see the Knights in Action page and the calendar of events for upcoming activities.
Joining St. Thomas More’s Msgr. Timothy Doyle Council 13111 can change your life.  As a Knight, you have the opportunity to strengthen our parish, give back to the community, grow in your faith and establish life-long bonds with men who are prayerful, honest, and compassionate about life issues and our faith.

There are many other reasons to join.  A nice discussion of the benefits of joining the Knights of Columbus is provided on the Orange Diocese Chapter website at www.ockc.net/join-us/.

Membership in the Knights of Columbus is open to men 18 years of age and older who are practicing Catholics in union with the Holy See. This means that an applicant or member accepts the teaching authority of the Catholic Church on matters of faith and morals, aspires to live in accord with the precepts of the Catholic Church, and is in good standing in the Catholic Church.

If you are interested in learning more about our group, we would like to meet you, answer your questions, and invite you to join us.
